Liverpool take on Dundalk

LIVERPOOL will play leading Irish clubs from both sides of the border in the next few days

LIVERPOOL will play leading Irish clubs from both sides of the border in the next few days. Roy Evans's side take on Linfield in Belfast tomorrow evening before heading for Dundalk where they will strengthen their long established relationship with 1995 National League champions Dundalk with a game on Sunday.

With the start of the premiership campaign now just two weeks away, the Liverpool manager is bringing a very strong squad with him to Ireland, with Phil Babb, Jason McAteer, Robbie Fowler and Steve McManaman amongst the many leading stars looking to impress with their pre-season form at Oriel Park on Sunday afternoon.

Also arriving from England is 21 year old Simon Terpin, who will spend a month playing with Sligo with a view to signing up for the rest of the season with Steve Cotterill's side.

Meanwhile, Bohemians were last night celebrating the launch of a major new sponsorship deal. Gateaux, a company with an impressive record of involvement with the game here, have announced their backing for the Dalymount club for the coming season.
