The North Western Alliance season concluded last Saturday when Allister Henderson hosted his captain's prize at Ballybofey & Stranorlar and he came close to recording the best round of the day himself as local members dominated. John McCaughan took the big prize with a 63 nett off eight. He had two shots to spare over Louis Boyce (8, Rosapenna) who secured second from Henderson with a better back nine while the gross category was topped by Eamonn Davis (North West) with a 73. The runaway winner of golfer of the year was Bernard Hanlon (Dunfanaghy). Seamus Patton (Ballybofey & Stranorlar) beat Seamus Clinton (Portsalon) for the golfer of the year gross prize.
