Antrim are through to the next round but only just. This was a poor match with Antrim just a shade the better side. Joe Quinn played a captain's part in midfield but still Antrim had to rely on the accurate free-taking of Paddy Logan for success. As he did against Derry at Celtic Park, Quinn fired over eight points - six from placed balls. The other two scores were excellent long-range efforts.
Points by Logan (three) and Peter McCann had Antrim 0-5 to 0-2 ahead after 15 minutes with Leitrim's scores being pointed frees by Aidan Rooney before the visitors hit a shock goal in the 25th minute.
Rooney's shot was blocked at the post by Sean McGreevy but Adrian Charles finished the rebound to the net.
However, that was the last flag that Leitrim raised until 12 minutes into the second half by which time Antrim had gone 0-11 to 1-3 ahead.
The visitors did hit four points to one for Antrim late in the second half to close the gap to just two points but they never really looked like getting on terms.
