LEINSTER JHC Semi-final: After failing to register a win in the Division Three of the National Hurling League, the Longford hurlers finally got it right when they overcame Louth 0-14 to 1-9 in the Leinster Junior Hurling championship semi-final at Michael Fay Park last night.
Despite conceding a goal in the 21st minute when Paul Dunne found the back of the net direct from a well struck free.
Longford, however, raised their game and some excellent scores from outstanding wing-back Gareth Ghee gave them the upper hand in this tight contest.Ghee ended up with 0-6 of his side's total.
Eoin Donnellan also played a leading role in Longford's first victory of the year when firing over five points.
