Women's Hockey: Loreto's perfect start to the season, three wins out of three, should be tested at Serpentine Avenue tomorrow where they face unbeaten Pembroke Wanderers. Pembroke have yet to concede a goal, Loreto have scored 17, so something has to give.

All five of the clubs at the top of the table have yet to lose a game, but two more of them, Old Alexandra and Railway Union, will also have that record put to the test when they meet at Milltown.

Second-placed Hermes host UCD, who lost their opening two games, at Booterstown while Trinity and Clontarf will be looking to break their points ducks in their game at Santry. Three Rock will also be trying to get off the mark when they take on Corinthian at Whitechurch.

Pegasus open the defence of their Ulster title against Victorians tomorrow, a week after handing out a 14-0 drubbing, with Alex Speers scoring six, to Portadown in the Ulster Shield, the competition that began the Ulster season this time around. That result, an alarming indication of the once mighty Portadown's decline, went some way to picking Pegasus spirits up after their shock 4-0 Shield defeat to Randalstown in their opening game of the season.
