Louth 1-10 Tipperary 0-9: Louth continued their winning ways by defeating 14-man Tipperary at Semple Stadium yesterday. Tipperary missed two goal chances, from Declan Browne and Benny Hickey, and trailed 1-5 to 0-4 at the interval.

A John O'Brien goal in the 21st minute gave Louth a four-point lead. Tipp responded with three points from Declan Browne but Louth's Aaron Hoey, Jamie Carr, and Mark Stanfield restored their four-point advantage.

Three Browne frees cancelled out Hoey and Darren Clarke efforts before Tipp's Mark Peters was dismissed for a second yellow card. Louth finished with points from Mark Brennan, John O'Brien and Trevor O'Brien.
