Long-standing members at Lucan Golf Club in Dublin have seen a huge transformation in their facilities in the last 20 years and there could be more to come.

A modest nine hole course until the early 1980s, it was expanded to a considerably more challenging 18 hole test. The final touches have now been put on the new clubhouse which cost almost £1m and was officially opened last month. With the club acting as `local' for many people, there are improved bar and catering facilities and also a snooker room and bag room, wheelchair accessible toilets and a lift to the bar and restaurant.
