FA Cup Third round replay/Luton Town 1 QPR 0:Luton Town booked their place in the last 32 of the FA Cup last night thanks to a late own goal by Zesh Rehman.
The hero was Dean Morgan who, returning from injury, came off the bench to force the victory and a fourth round match against Blackburn Rovers live on the BBC this Saturday.
Despite the prospect of a televised home tie against English Premiership opposition the reward for progress here, neither team began with any obvious purpose and for long periods the quality of football dropped as low the temperatures inside the ground.
With just over a quarter of an hour left in the game, QPR's Stefan Bailey was sent off for a two-footed challenge and, after a 20-man brawl, Luton came to life.
Six minutes later, Morgan cannoned a strike off Rehman and beyond Simon Royce. The goal came against the run of play, but it was enough to keep Luton fans dreaming of Wembley.
