1995 - Appointed senior hurling manager in succession to Johnny Clifford.
1996 - Cork relegated in the National League and overwhelmed by Limerick in the Munster championship first round.
1997 - Promoted back to Division One of the league, lose quarter-final to Kilkenny and are beaten by Clare after a good display in the Munster semi-final. Appointed for a further two years.
1998 - Beat Waterford in final to win National League, defeat Limerick in the first round of the Munster championship but lose heavily to Clare in the semi-final.
1999 - Munster and All-Ireland champions. Appointment renewed for a further two years.
2000 - Retain Munster title but are surprisingly defeated by Offaly in the All-Ireland semi-final. Barry-Murphy announces his resignation.
