Munster SH Cup Quarter-final/ Limerick 0-18 Tipperary 0-12: With this summer's championship meeting between the counties top of the priority list, neither Limerick or Tipperary were prepared to show their hands in this tame Munster Cup quarter-final at the Gaelic Grounds.

The respective managers, Limerick's Joe McKenna and Babs Keating of Tipperary, paraded no more than a handful of players expected to make the final cut for their May 14th date.

Mark Keane, back in favour after a two year' absence, left his calling card with a contribution of eight points, five from frees, and was instrumental in Limerick having a 0-7 to 0-5 advantage at half-time.

Paddy O'Brien continued to keep Tipperary in touch up to the final quarter, when they still trailed by just two points, 0-11 to 0-09, but Limerick finished on a high with TJ Ryan, Paul O'Grady, Michael Fitzgerald and Donie Ryan making it much more comfortable for them.
