St Columba's earned a meeting with Newbridge in the first round of the Leinster Schools Cup next year with an emphatic win at Willow Park.

Columba's wing Micheal Quinn scored a penalty with seven minutes gone and his side soon began to take a grip on proceedings. On 20 minutes, a take in the lineout by the impressive second row Adam Wilson saw Columba's drive towards the line, with Number eight Rory McArdle crossing.

Quinn added his second penalty to bring Columba's into double figures and they went further ahead just on half time with McArdle again going over.

The conversion from Quinn left it 18-0 at the break, and he then went over himself and added the conversion.
