McCallion ran clear onto Liam Coyle's through ball to shoot past Wayne Russell for the winner on 107 minutes. Six minutes earlier Payne saved his second spot-kick of the night from Glen Crowe after the Bohemians striker was bowled over by Paddy McLaughlin.

Derry thought they had completed their recovery to win the match when Jamie Hughes lobbed Wayne Russell as the Bohemians goalkeeper raced off his line on 86 minutes. But in dramatic fashion, Colin Hawkins, who earlier deflected Derry's equaliser into his own net, headed Bohemians level from a Simon Webb cross three minutes into stoppage time.

Padraig Moran headed a Darren McCready free-kick narrowly wide on 26 minutes before Harkin's sublime goal put Bohemians in front five minutes later through

Crowe, who headed wide from an Avery John cross, brought the second half to life on 58 minutes. But it was Derry who snatched an equaliser a minute later as Moran's shot deflected off Bohemians defender Hawkings. Trevor Molloy, bowled over by Derry captain Eamonn Doherty, then had his penalty well saved by Payne on 66 minutes.
