Having experienced a couple of relatively goal-shy weeks recently McCarthy's Men Abroad were scoring from all angles over the last seven days. Alan Quinn helped lift Sheffield Wednesday from Division One's drop zone midweek with the winner against Queens Park Rangers - alas, his week ended with a red card against Fulham on Saturday.

Stoke's James O'Connor was also amongst the goals, capping a week that saw him nominated as Irish under-21 player of the season along with Sunderland's Michael Reddy and Coventry's Barry Quinn, who made his first Premiership appearance of the season at the weekend.

Player of the week, though, is 20-yearold Millwall striker Richard Sadlier who scored four goals in two games (in wins over Swindon and Cambridge), having only recently returned from injury. Now, we'd never be brave enough to upset Millwall's "no-one likes us, we don't care" fans but surely they can do better than "Ooh aah, Sad-lee-aar", which is what they croon when the young fella scores.
