Colleges Hurling/Harty Cup:A goal a minute from time from substitute Aidan McCormack sealed a deserved win for Thurles CBS in the Dr Harty Cup (Munster Colleges senior hurling championship) quarter-final replay at Templetuohy yesterday.
Templemore drew level with six minutes remaining thanks in the main to Tipperary minor star Noel McGrath. Thurles led at the break 1-6 to 0-6 - their goal coming from Jack Fogarty, having combined with Michael McGrath and David Butler.
By the end of the third quarter Thurles were five in front, but five unanswered points from McGrath levelled matters. The effort took its toll and McCormack's goal sealed the issue.
Best for Thurles were James Barry, John O'Neill, Joe Maguire, Butler and Denis Maher while for Our Lady's McGrath, Liam Butler, Cathal Scully, Shane Bourke and Willie Ryan were best.
