Football: Tyrone's hopes of retaining the All-Ireland title have suffered a severe blow after All Star centre forward and play-maker Brian McGuigan broke a leg during a league game yesterday.

McGuigan was in action for Ardboe against Dromore when he suffered the injury in an accidental collision with an opposing player.

The game was abandoned after an ambulance was called to take the 25-year-old to hospital.

The sides were level at seven points each, with just five minutes to play.
