GOLF: Seventeen years old Rory Mc Ilroy (Holywood), who retained the Irish Amateur Close Championship title, and Simon Ward (Louth) who he beat in the final at the European Club, are named in the Ireland team for the European Youths Team Championship which will be held at the La Canada Golf Club on the Costa del Sol, Spain, on July 11th-15th.

The same team will also represent Ireland in the annual youths international match against Wales, on Wednesday, June 28th at Royal Tara Golf Club.
