STEPHEN McIVOR, the Garryowen rugby scrumhalf who made his international debut against Australia last month, has been suspended for a week by the disciplinary committee of the Munster Branch.
The suspension followed an incident in a Munster Development League match between Garryowen and Young Munster. McIvor was not playing in the match but got involved in an incident near the touchline with Young Munster second row Michael O'Halloran.
The suspension dates from last Wednesday, but he is entitled to appeal. If he does not appeal he will be ineligible for his club's All-Ireland League match against Dungannon tomorrow.
