DUBLIN make four changes from their drawn match against Mayo for their National Football League Division Two match against Clare at Parnell Park on Sunday.
Injured goalkeeper John O'Leary is replaced by David Byrne. Paddy Christie comes in at left corner back for Wayne Daly - a substitution that was made during the Mayo match, with Christie playing well on his introduction. Paul Curran returns to the team at left wing back in place of Eamonn Heery, who was sent off the last day.
Paul Bealin was taken off in Castlebar having damaged his knee and has not recovered. He is replaced in midfield by Ciaran Whelan, whose position at centre forward is assigned to Dessie Farrell. The resulting vacancy at full forward is filled by Joe McNally, who made a solid contribution to saving the Mayo match when introduced as a substitute.
Mayo's Liam McHale returns to the team on Sunday for their Division Two match against Louth after serving a two month suspension imposed in the wake of September's All Ireland final replay. His suspension expires at midnight on Saturday and he will line out at midfield in a team showing two changes from the side that drew with Dublin.
McHale replaces Pat Fallon, who picked up an injury at the weekend, and PJ Loftus comes in at left corner forward for Tom Reilly.
Meanwhile, Sunday's Munster club football semi final replay between Laune Rangers and Rathgormack will go ahead as scheduled. The matter was considered by the Munster Council last night in the light of Kerry's preference that it be allocated a different date.
Already short the players who allegedly played illegally in New York, Kerry's management would have been particularly keen to have access to the Laune Rangers contingent, but that is now impossible.
According to Laune coach John Evans, the only two dates that the dub could fulfil were this Sunday and Sunday week and the Munster Council is not keen to extend the championship into December.
Cavan, still in search of a first win in the League, have made a couple of changes to the team which was beaten by Donegal last week in the postponed Division One match with Donegal.
Anthony Forde and Fintan Cahill come into the attack for the players they replaced last Sunday, Jason Reilly and Finbarr Crowe.
Veteran goalkeeper Pat Comer, continues in goal for Galway when they face Wicklow in Aughrim. Comer's An Ceathru Rua clubmate Sean O Domhnaill comes in at midfield for his League debut. Club - and county - captain Sean Og De Paor continues in the forwards, but switches to the swing.
