A three-way tie has developed at the top of the ESB Superleague after yet another weekend of little consistency from the title contenders.
Just when it seemed that the Demons were going to present the greatest challenge from Cork, they fell 97-81 to UCD Marian, giving the Dublin club a share of the leadership. Dominant throughout, UCD Marian enjoyed a virtuoso performance from Kevin Meany in the second and third quarters to break the Demons defence, and they also had Torian Richards in his best form.
Waterford also keep a hold on the top of the table thanks to their 67-58 win away to Sligo, thus ending the good run of the western club in recent weeks. And Neptune pushed their way to the top after a 107-71 victory over struggling Tyrone. Neptune were scoring at will almost from the start, with Kenny Gamble ending up with 39 points against a club still without a win.
Elsewhere, Tralee Tigers stay in contention after their 115-96 win over St Vincent's.
