Men in black: Dickie Murphy
Age: 38.
Club: Rapparees, Enniscorthy.
Job: Works with An Post.
Playing career: "I played minor, under-21 and senior with Wexford, the highlight being the 1979 Leinster under-21 final win."
Umpire team: "John Tyrell, Paddy Shiggins, Paddy Buckley, Matt Flynn, all men from around home."
Match-day ritual: "We'll drive down in the morning of the match, stop for a bite to eat on the way. We'll get to the pitch between 1.30 and 1.45, someone from the Munster Council will probably meet us, and maybe we'll watch a bit of the first match. Then we'll get ready about three-quarters of an hour beforehand, and just focus on the match." What do you bring with you on to the field? "Coin for the toss, two whistles, a couple of pencils, cards, notebook and stopwatch."
What's your time for the 100 metres? "Wouldn't break the world record, 11 or 12 seconds I suppose."
Best moment of refereeing career: "Any of the four All-Irelands I've done. Don't know if there's another one left in me, but there's the odd match or two."
Worst moment: "Nothing too bad so far. But when I write me book, there might be a few incidents I'll include."
If you could change one rule in hurling, what would it be? "I didn't like the league experiment when the game started with a puckout. I hope the throw-in stays. Rules of hurling are generally okay."
