UCD registered a record 10th successive win when they beat Dublin University 8-4 in the annual colours match at windswept Portmarnock yesterday.
After sharing the morning foursomes at two matches each, the Belfield students won six of the afternoon singles to record their historic win.
One highlight for the Trinity team was James Buckley's hole in one at the 12th on his way to partnering Aidan Neill to a 2 and 1 win over Patrick O'Hara and John Toner.
