Eric Miller is set to return for Terenure College in Sunday's AIB League Division One clash with Young Munster at Lakelands. The Irish international missed the club's excellent victory over Shannon last weekend because of a leg injury sustained in training on Thursday night. Gavin Hill moves to blindside with Dermot Blaney, ironically not available this weekend, dropping out.
Munsters have yet to finalise their team but coach Brian Hickey is awaiting medical reports on shoulder injuries to prop Des Clohessy and centre Sean McCahill. He expects both players to be fit. Continuing the trend of delayed selection is champions Shannon, also beleaguered by injury.
Rhys Ellison, stretchered from the pitch in the Terenure game, is definitely out of Sunday's local derby against Garryowen. Fortunately, the neck injury is not as bad as first feared but he may be sidelined for a fortnight. Paul McMahon (knee) and John Hayes are also causing concern.
The match will take place at Thomond Park, thereby ending Shannon's two match association with Clanwilliam. The pitch has been deemed playable. Garryowen have not named a side either but suffice to say that Ben Cronin and Shane Leahy are once again the main injury worries.
Meanwhile, the winners of the Students Cup final between UCC and Grenoble University, which takes place at Donnybrook on Saturday morning, will be presented with their trophy at half-time in the European Cup final between Ulster and Colomiers at Lansdowne Road.
