Last Sunday's Auteuil faller Mister Banjo is among the entries for the Hattons Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse.

The Paul Nicholls-trained gelding, bought for 240,000 guineas in the summer, is one of two British horses engaged in the December 3rd contest along with Master Beveled, who finished third behind Limestone Lad last year.

Also entered in the Ballymore Properties-backed two-and-a-half-mile event are Cheltenham Festival winner Sausalito Bay plus Grade One scorers Commanche Court, Dorans Pride and Moscow Flyer.

Willie Mullins has a strong representation in the Royal Bond Novices' Hurdle on the same card, his team including Weatherbys Champion Bumper winner Joe Cullen and Punchestown Festival scorer Ballyamber.

Ruby Walsh is set to return to racecourse action at Down Royal on Friday.

Walsh, who injured his right wrist in a fall at Cork last month, will ride Tuesday in the maiden hurdle and Tryphaena in the feature SERE Hurdle.

But his plum ride will be on Saturday when he gets his first chance to ride Florida Pearl in public in the James Nicholson Wine Merchant Champion Chase.

Walsh, who missed five months of last season with a broken leg before winning the Grand National on Papillon, said: "It just shows the ups and downs of racing."

"I rode Florida Pearl at Willie Mullins' stable, he won't mind if the ground is soft. It was soft when he won the Hennessy Gold Cup at Leopardstown."

Walsh could potentially have an embarrassment of riches in the Cheltenham Gold Cup next March through Florida Pearl and stablemate Alexander Banquet along with his father's Rince Ri and Commanche Court.

But Walsh would not be drawn on which he would prefer. "I'd be delighted to be on any of them," he said

Saturday's clash between Looks Like Trouble and Florida Pearl is to be shown on French television channel Equidia, it was announced yesterday. Racecourse manager Michael Todd said: "Equidia will cover the feature race on Friday - the £50,000 SERE Hurdle - and provide coverage of the entire fixture on Saturday.

"This is the first occasion Irish racing will be the highlight of their transmission and I'm thrilled they have decided to feature the Down Royal Festival."

Channel 4 will also show the James Nicholson Champion Chase.

Beau yesterday plunged in the betting for next March's Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup after being "put up" by one of the major tipping lines.

The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained seven-year-old, a runaway winner of the Whitbread Gold Cup last term, finished third to Foxchapel King in the Intervet Trophy on his seasonal bow at Cheltenham on Saturday.

He was a 20 to 1 chance for chasing's Blue Riband yesterday morning, but punters forced the price down to 10 to 1.

Paul Nicholls' See More Business is 6 to 1 from 8 to 1 with Ladbrokes while the Tote make the 10-year-old an 11 to 2 chance from 7 to 1 and have cut Beau from 20 to 1 to 11 to 1.

Perfect Plum led from start to finish under jockey George Duffield to win the Group Three Prix Saint-Roman at Saint-Cloud yesterday afternoon. The Mark Prescott-trained mud-loving two-year-old was winning her third race on the bounce, and her second straight French win having landed Deauville's Prix des Reservoirs last month.

The winner spearheaded a Newmarket clean sweep in the one-mile fillies' race, with the Chris Wall-trained La Vita E Bella (Richard Mullen) finishing one length second and the Jeremy Noseda-trained Blushing Bride (Pat Eddery) two and a half lengths back in third in a nine-runner field.
