Monaghan...0-15 London...0-9: The introduction of Tom Freeman caused the visitors all sorts of problems and Monaghan finished the first half strongly with four unanswered points to lead by four points, 0-7 to 0-3.
Within five minutes of the restart Monaghan had extended their lead to six points with two scorers, from frees, by Paul Finlay. However, London hit a good spell, scoring three points without reply. That, though, was as good as it got for the visitors with Monaghan striking another purple patch that yielded four points in as many minutes to secure victory.
