Limerick Motor Club host round three as Motor Enthusiasts Club encountered difficulties over the availability of stages in the Wicklow forests. Moore's confidence is further boosted following his third-place finish in the Ulster Easter Rally, but he faces competition from Kenny McKinstry in a Subaru WRC.

Other contenders include Kevin O'Kane also in a Subaru WRC, recent Omagh winner Brian McGillin in a Hyundai Accent WRC, James Murphy and Trevor Harding in Subaru Imprezas and Dominic McNeill in his Escort WRC.
