Hedgehunter seems none the worse for his outing over hurdles at Limerick on Sunday and will shortly resume his preparation for the English Grand National on April 14th.
The 2005 Aintree hero was making just his second appearance of the season after sustaining a knee injury earlier this term.
After finishing ninth in the UL Bohemians Raceday Hurdle over an inadequate two miles, he was reported to have a slight nasal discharge following examination by the Turf Club veterinary officer.
And while Willie Mullins will closely monitor his progress over the next few days, he says all seems well for the time being.
Meanwhile, Distant Thunder's primary objective remains next Monday's Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse.
Noel Chance's gelding was a close third behind Joes Edge in the William Hill Trophy at Cheltenham last time out and is towards the top of the betting market for the Fairyhouse race. "As we speak, plan A is still the Irish National," said Chance.
