Munster

Dominic Crotty

Dominic Crotty

Age: 25. Height: 6ft. Weight: 14 st 10 lbs. Has shown a pronounced return to form this season and was an integral part of the Ireland A Triple Crown success. Positive and assured in most aspects of his game this season. Will be called upon to make the hard yards running kicks back.

John Kelly

Age: 26. Height: 5ft 10in. Weight: 13st 11lbs. A series of outstanding performances for Ireland A this season in the centre. Intelligent footballer who may gain recognition at the highest level in midfield. Good defender and a clever, balanced runner.

Mike Mullins

Age: 29. Height: 5ft 11in. Weight: 14st 8lbs. Made his Ireland A debut against Italy and then went on to win five full caps. The New Zealander has been playing at full back for Young Munster. Strong, powerful runner with a great facility to offload in the tackle.

Jason Holland

Age: 27. Height: 5ft 10in. Weight: 14st 10lbs. Missed the game against Stade Francais because of a bereavement but now restored in place of Killian Keane. An outhalf by choice, he has adapted very well to the centre where he forms a potent partnership with fellow Kiwi Mullins. His best game for the province was in France against Colomiers.

Anthony Horgan

Age: 22: Height: 6ft. Weight: 13st. The only Irish-born member of the backline not to have earned representative honours this season, which is something of a travesty. A former under-21 international he has matured into an excellent attacking player.

Ronan O'Gara

Age: 23. Height: 5ft 11in. Weight: 13st. The lynchpin of Munster's success this season. Showed remarkable composure under pressure in several games and this earned him national recognition. Controls the game intelligently, kicks well from hand or in placekicking terms and is capable of switching to a more fluent game.

Peter Stringer

Age: 22. Height: 5ft 6in. Weight: 11st. Another to have earned his senior spurs this season with Ireland. Superb passer, his delivery nudges his outhalf forward onto the ball. Very good cover tackler, good link player but needs to develop a break to complete the package.

Peter Clohessy

Age: 34. Height: 5ft 11in. Weight: 16st 12lbs. Arguably his best season ever. The 34-year-old Young Munster prop shows no signs of slowing down and he will be a crucial player in the semi-final when he faces Tournaire. Can play either side but would prefer to remain at loosehead for the entire match.

Keith Wood

Age: 28. Height: 6ft. Weight: 16st 10lbs. The inspirational figure for club, province and country. The former Lion enjoys a seminal influence on those around him and will be looking for a typical combative performance. Munster will be hoping to use him as a secondary rather than primary runner.

John Hayes

Age: 26. Height: 6ft 4in. Weight: 19st. Happily restored to full health after injury. Faces another searching examination in the tight from Christian Califano. Superb lifter at the lineout, excellent tackler and gets through a huge amount of work around the pitch. Good ball carrier.

Mick Galwey

Age: 33. Height: 6ft 4in. Weight: 18st. Another to whom this team looks: the captain leads by example and it is his thoughtful, calm guidance and ability to galvanise his teammates that marks him as a player apart in this respect. Faces a huge task, but no one better equipped to exact maximum effort.

John Langford

Age: 31. Height: 6ft 7in. Weight: 17st 4lbs. A colossus in the lineout, the four-times capped former Australian international gets through a mountain of work. Principal source of primary possession, he also manages to nick the odd opposition ball.

Eddie Halvey

Age: 29. Height: 6ft 4in. Weight: 16st 2lbs. Enjoying a superb second half to the season. Has muscled past his club-mate Alan Quinlan for the blindside berth, vindicating coach Declan Kidney's choice to give him a starting role in the quarter-final. Great athlete and ball player.

David Wallace

Age: 23. Height: 6ft 2in. Weight: 16st 10lbs. His facial injury would have been a source of great concern to the team management given the quality of his performances to date. Ball winner, ball stealer, blessed with great pace and strength. Key player.

Anthony Foley

Age: 26. Height: 6ft 3in. Weight: 17st 4lbs. The Shannon number eight offers a maturity beyond his years. Very intelligent footballer with good vision, he is an aggressive ball carrier and an equally powerful defender. Works very hard in the tighter exchanges and has been in superlative form this season.
