THE Munster Council of the GAA has agreed to put back the throw-in for Sunday's football final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh to 4 p.m. to allow RTE to broadcast the second half of the match between Cork and Kerry live.

That will immediately follow the live coverage of the Connacht final between Mayo and Galway at Castlebar (3.15).

The Munster minor football final between Cork and Kerry will now start at 2.15.

The Leinster final between Dublin and Meath the following week will also be televised live - throw-in 3.45. But there will be no live leg of the Ulster final between Down and Tyrone which takes place in Clones on the same day. That match will be carried by RTE and UTV later in the evening.
