BRITISH AND IRISH CUP: Bristol 27 Munster A 10:TWO PENALTY tries in the space of eight minutes put Munster's hopes in the British and Irish Cup to the sword in Bristol last night.

Munster A failed to match the power of the English pack and capitulated to a second-half demolition at the Memorial Ground.

Centre Tom Gleeson was carried off on a stretcher late on during a miserable night for Munster, who must now hope either Llanelli or Bristol slip up in their final Pool B games this week if they are to reach the quarter-finals.

A penalty from Declan Cusack was all Munster had to show from plenty of possession in a first half that ended 6-3 to the home side.
