Camogie Interpros: Munster defended their Interprovincial Gael-Linn Championship title in style when they overcame Connacht, 1-16 to 1-9, at Páirc de Burca, Glenalbyn, on Saturday.
The day was made even better for Munster when their junior side defeated Leinster 4-16 to 1-4 to take the junior crown.
The final was only two minutes old when Limerick's Eileen O'Brien had the ball over the bar from play.
A goal 12 minutes later from Deirdre Hughes had Connacht rattled but an opening point from Galway's Lourda Kavanagh settled the side and they added four more points before the break to go in at 0-5 to Munster's 1-8.
Munster added a further four points in the second half before Orla Kilkenny sent over the first Connacht point of the second half. Both sides exchanged further points before Caroline Kelly goaled for Connacht with just four minutes remaining. But that was how it ended to leave Munster the champions again.
