Women's HockeyAll three of Munster's survivors in the ESB Irish Senior Cup are on their travels this weekend, with Cork Harlequins, Church of Ireland and the University of Limerick all given away ties for the third round of the competition.

The province, then, will do well to have any representatives in the draw for the quarter-finals, not least because Limerick and Harlequins are away to Leinster's form teams, joint league leaders Pembroke Wanderers and Hermes, the cup holders.

Church of Ireland are up against it too, having to take on Ards without four of their players - Ali O'Connor, Ali O'Regan and Sandra Hackett all miss out due to study commitments while Cathy Walsh is injured.

The round has paired four of Ulster's leading teams with last year's beaten finalists Ballymoney at home to Belfast Harlequins and Pegasus, the 2004 cup winners, at home to Randalstown.

Lisnagarvey and Omagh also have home advantage but their visitors are Leinster sides, Loreto and Old Alexandra respectively.

The round's final tie, between Railway Union and Armagh, will be played on Saturday week.

Meanwhile Leinster will attempt to regain their under-16 interprovincial title in Kilkenny this weekend, where the tournament will be staged at the new sports complex in Loreto, Kilkenny.

Leinster's first opponents are the hosts, South East, who they play at 4.30 this afternoon, which will be followed by the game between Connacht and Munster. Ulster open their campaign against Munster tomorrow morning.
