Navan report: Timmy Murphy faces a spell on the sidelines after breaking his left collarbone in a fall at Navan yesterday. The rider had just taken up the running on Room To Room Gold in the Kilberry Hurdle when his mount fell at the final flight.
He brought down Native Commander, who then appeared to kick the prostrate Murphy, who is favourite to become the new stable jockey to Martin Pipe.
More Rainbows went on to score in the hands of Paul Carberry and is now likely to go for the Ascot Stakes, a two-and-a-half-mile handicap at Royal Ascot next month.
Trainer Noel Meade said: "He was fifth in the race two years ago and stays well. He wore blinkers for the first time today and they helped to wake him up a bit."
Meade and Carberry went on to complete a treble through Billy Bonnie in the Joe Norris Motors Handicap Hurdle and Lance in the Fundraiser Maiden Hurdle.
