LARRY MURPHY is recalled to his favourite left half forward position on the Wexford side to meet Kilkenny in Saturday evening's important National Hurling League tie in New Ross.
He replaces Paul Codd who sustained an eye injury in a charity match in Waterford on Monday. Codd had only celebrated a third county championship under 21 medal win with Rathnure at the weekend.
Wily midfielder Larry O'Gorman also misses out because of a blow to a knee received in the same charity game.
O'Gorman's absence gives Tommy Kehoe the opportunity to make his debut in the current campaign and he partners Adrian Fenlon. In all there are three changes in the side that lost to Tipperary.
However, good news for manager Rory Kinsella, and his coselectors, is that right corner back Colm Kehoe's hand injury has fully recovered. He takes over in defence from John O'Connor.
Another bonus for Wexford is the return to near full fitness of Rory McCarthy, the right wing attacking hero of the All Ireland winning team, who will be on the bench, thus increasing Kinsella's options.
Limerick will be without the injured Mark Foley, Ciaran Carey, Joe Quaid and Paudge Tobin for Sunday's NHL tie against Galway.
Alan Shanahan gets his chance in goal in a side that also includes John Foley, Sean O'Neill and Pat Heffernan, while Gary Kirby is switched to left corner forward.
