McGrath Cup SFBallylanders's Johnny Murphy has been nominated as captain of the Limerick senior football team. He returned to the panel this year after taking a break in 2007. Limerick play IT Tralee next Sunday in the quarter-final of the McGrath Cup at Feenagh.

Meanwhile, Eoin Keating has returned to his club, Monaleen, after a 12-month stint in Australia and resumed training with the Limerick panel at the weekend.

In yesterday's McGrath Cup matches, Clare defeated UCC 0-9 to 0-4 at Miltown Malbay, while UL needed extra-time to edge past Waterford 1-15 to 2-9 at Dungarvan.
