MYNADOR, who made a major impression when winning her maiden at Naas last June on what proved to be her only start, makes her eagerly awaited reappearance in the University of Limerick Race at Tipperary this afternoon.

A daughter of the American sire, Forty Niner, Mynador is engaged in both the English and Irish 1,000 Guineas and so would need to win convincingly if she is to develop into a live Guineas candidate. On the evidence of that lone racecourse appearance, she appears to have an outstanding chance of doing so and the presence in the field of the former Richard Hannon trained Blue Ridge should ensure that this is a true trial.

Another runner who may be figuring in Group One events this season is Luna Spectrum, who contests the Veterinary College Dublin Racing Club Maiden. This Aidan O'Brien four year old was, along with Key Change, Dance Design and Oscar Schindler, one of four Irish entries yesterday for the Coronation Stakes at Epsom.

That is a pretty ambitious target for a horse that made his only racecourse appearance 20 months ago, losing a Leopardstown maiden by a head, so this Rainbow Quest colt must be showing plenty of promise at home and it is probable that he will start at extremely cramped odds for today's event.

Dreamworks, a son of Last Tycoon, ran a cracking race on his only start last season when just over a length behind the well regarded Plaza De Toros in a Leopardstown maiden. Unfancied in the betting on that occasion, he can provide Charles O'Brien with his first success of the season by taking the University of Limerick Equestrian Club Maiden. The probable danger is Medal Of Honour, who ran below expectations on his debut at Gowran last week when favourite.

The only previous winner in the Abbey School (Tipperary) Trans Year Handicap, Elida may have the beating of Ein Tresor and Woodfield Boy, who were second and third respectively to Charita at Listowel in September.

Native Fling won his bumper on good ground and so should not be troubled by fast ground. His third over hurdles at Punchestown in January to Blue Wave was a satisfactory effort and he is the choice in the St Annes School (Tipperary) Trans Year Maiden Hurdle.

Marguerita Song would have been involved in the shakeup at Naas in February but for unseating her rider four fences out, and she may be worth taking a chance with in the University College Cork Racing Club Handicap Chase.
