KILDARE/SH Final Replay: Holders Naas retained their Kildare senior hurling title despite an impressive second half recovery by Coill Dubh. The winners got off to an encouraging start when Richie Coyle and John Ryan both found the net and a third goal from Jim Kinlon saw them lead by 11 points during the first half.

Coill Dubh put in an impoved performance towards the end of the half with a goal from Adrian McAndrew but Naas led by 3-5 to 1-5 at half time.

However, each time they threatened to draw level Naas rallied and they were always able to respond to a Coill Dubh score.
