Ilie Nastase will join John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg at the Dublin Tournament of Champions next month. The three former Grand Slam winners will be the main attractions at the ATP Senior Tour event, which comes to The Point for the first time from February 17th-20th.
Nastase, as well known as McEnroe for his on-court belligerence towards umpires, won his first major at the US Open in 1972 - defeating Arthur Ashe. He became world number one in 1973.
Borg succeeded Nastase as French Open Champion in 1974 on his way to 11 Grand Slam titles, including five consecutive Wimbledon wins.
Also in the field are former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash and former French Open finalist Henry Leconte. The four-day competition will be broadcast live on RTE.
