Bohemians v Cork City

Bohemians v Cork City

Having been edged out of the first team picture by some of the arrivals from New Zealand, Paul Doolin headed for Oriel Park this week but there has been an arrival as well as a departure up at Dalymount this week with Shaun Maher, the club's former centre half returning for Fulham to rejoin Joe McGrath's squad.

The temptation for McGrath to throw Maher into the action will be increased considerably this evening if Brendan Place is unfit to start.

City have one or two minor injury worries for the trip to Dublin but should stick with much the same team that beat Derry on Sunday.

Shelbourne v Finn Harps

Dermot Keely is still without a couple of players as he looks for his first League win this evening with James Keddy likely to miss out again due to injury.

Liam Kelly may well return to the Dublin club's midfield while Dessie Baker will probably be the one to be pushed forward alongside Pat Morley.

Waterford Utd v St Patrick's Ath

The home side are likely to more or less stick to the 3-4-3 system that has earned them wins against UCD and Finn Harps although Tommy Lynch concedes that the final decision will be influenced by the injury situation.

Sean Riordan and Robert Griffin are both doubtful with the pair suffering from back and calf strains respectively and Alan Barry and Paddy Sinnott are standing by.

Liam Buckley inherited a team used to playing with three up front but after switching to the more orthodox 4-4-2 last week and winning impressively over Dundalk, the system's days may be numbered at Richmond Park.

A knee injury picked up by Stephen McGuinness in training may necessitate one change with Packie Lynch possibly fit enough to come back although by no means certain to, but Willie Burke, Jeff Clarke and Colin Hawkins are all at least a week away from being fit.
