Shelbourne manager Dermot Keely will make several changes to his side for tonight's potentially embarrassing League Cup quarter-final against first-division leaders Galway United at Tolka Park (7.45).

Keely was frustrated by his team's display in playing out a 0-0 draw with Finn Harps in Friday night's Premier Division game, describing his side's showing as "a bit of a shambles by the end".

Tony Sheridan is back from a one-match suspension and should resume his place in attack alongside Pat Morley while Keely has said he will start Greg Costello, probably at right-back, for his first game of the season following injury.

"What disappointed me on Friday night was that we didn't play any football," said Keely. "Towards the end of the game we looked a shambles and lost all our shape.

"We went out and just didn't pass the ball and people expect more than that from us. It isn't a worry at this stage that we are six points behind the leaders. What is a worry is that we could go out and not play. We were at odds with our principles of playing football.

"When things went against us we started booting the ball around the place. This team is not built for that. It's not big enough or strong enough."

Keely realises that Galway, unbeaten in seven competitive games this season, have nothing to lose tonight.

"Galway will be up for this match," Keely said. "The League Cup means more to a first-division side than to a premier-division side and they are good enough to punish any complacency on our part."

Galway are at full strength, reporting no injuries after their 1-1 draw with Monaghan on Friday.

"It's a big test for us to go to Tolka Park and play Shelbourne, who are regarded as one of the best teams in the country," said Galway manager Don O'Riordan.
