AS THEY work towards starting next season at their new home in Tallaght, Shamrock Rovers have received a boost in the form of a sponsorship deal with freight company Sea Cargo Services.

The backing, announced yesterday and said to be worth "a six-figure sum" over five years, comes in addition to the continuing support Rovers receive from primary sponsors Woodie's DIY.

Dundalk can go three points clear again at the top of the First Division if they beat Limerick 37 at Oriel Park this evening. After a rocky period a couple of weeks back, John Gill's side got their pursuit of promotion back on track with a couple of wins but need to beat a team that has prevailed on two of the clubs' previous three meetings.

The home side have Robbie Farrell back from suspension while Tiarnan Mulvanna could return after missing the Waterford United game with a leg injury. Mike Kerley's one absentee is midfielder Jason Hughes, who is away on duty with the Irish under-17s.

The other promotion contenders play tomorrow with Shelbourne, who lead Dundalk due to a fractionally better goal difference, hosting Sporting Fingal while Waterford travel to Kildare County where Tony Cousins will be in charge for the first time.
