Premier Division
Bohemians v Galway Utd (Dalymount Park, 7.45)
There will be no mention of UEFA Cup glory around Dalymount Park tonight. Bohemians manager Roddy Collins says this game with Galway, who won 3-1 on their visit to Phibsboro last season, is far more important than next Thursday's second-leg meeting with Aberdeen.
Central defender Shaun Maher, who strained his back at Pittordrie, is still out while midfielder Darren O'Keeffe remains suspended. Trevor Molloy will continue to lead the attack as his appeal against a two-match ban has yet to be heard by the league.
Galway will put Barbados international Eric Lavine to bed on his arrival back from Boston this morning after a 7-0 defeat by the US in a World Cup qualifier in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Lavine scored four times in Galway's opening day win over Finn Harps and manager Don O'Riordan is desperate for the in-form striker to play.
With Colin Fortune unavailable due to his wedding, Scott Morgan moves across to left-back with Billy Clery returning from suspension to slot into central defence.
Last season: Galway 1 Bohemians 2, Bohemians 1 Galway 3, Galway 0 Bohemians 1.
Referee: P McKeon (Dublin).
Betting: Home 4/7, draw 9/4, away 5/1.
Bray v Derry City (Carlisle Grounds, 7.45)
Bray continue without their usual central defensive partnership of Mick Doohan and Jody Lynch. Doohan missed the rousing opening day win over Shelbourne through suspension but has tweaked a hamstring in training while Lynch is still not right after a knee injury. Also out is Stephen Fox (ankle) while Ciaran Ryan's groin strain makes him doubtful.
Barry O'Connor returns from injury while Alan Byrne is available after suspension to provide options in midfield.
Derry gladly welcome back Liam Coyle, Eddie McCallion and James Quigley who missed last week's shock home defeat to Longford through suspension.
Gary Beckett is still struggling with a continuing groin problem while Eamonn Doherty, carried off last week with a calf injury, may not be risked.
Last season: Did not meet.
Referee: H Byrne (Dublin).
Betting: Home 4/6, draw 9/4, away 4/1.
St Patrick's Ath v UCD (Richmond Park, 7.45)
Pat Dolan, the St Patrick's manager, looks set to give a debut to new signing Michael Holt. Striker Holt (23), who has had spells with Blackburn, Preston and Rochdale, has impressed in a friendly and in training since arriving at the club this week.
Keith Doyle and Paul Osam are over one match suspensions, but unlikely to come straight back into the starting line-up.
Apart from the long-term injured Peter Hanarahan and Tony McDonnell, UCD revert to a full-strength side, with Ciaran Kavanagh fully recovered from a thigh strain which saw him used only as a substitute in last week's win over Kilkenny City.
"I see St Pat's as a top four side," said UCD manager Martin Moran. "They lost last week and will be desperate to get something from tonight's game while we must perform better than we did last week."
Last season: UCD 2 St Patrick's 2, St Patrick's 0 UCD 0, UCD 2 St Patrick's 1.
Referee: J Stacey (Athlone).
Betting: Home 5/4, draw 2/1, away 2/1.
First Division: Drogheda United v Dundalk, 7.45; Limerick FC v Home Farm Fingal, 7.45; St Francis v Sligo Rovers, 8.00.
