Bohemians v Finn Harps (Dalymount Park, 7.45)

Bohemians v Finn Harps (Dalymount Park, 7.45)

Having apparently revised his earlier prediction that his side cannot win the title, Bohemians manager Roddy Collins could see his new-found aspirations come more into focus with a win tonight.

That would leave Bohemians two points behind Shelbourne and "really put the pressure on them going to Derry", according to Collins.

Pascal Vaudequin, having completed his transfer from Harps yesterday, won't play - as agreed with his former club - even though Bohemians have problems in defence with Eoin Mullen suspended and, more pertinently, regular right back Tony O'Connor out with a groin injury.

Avery John eases Collins' defensive headache with his return from international duty with Trinidad and Tobago. Wayne Russell is still out with a virus, so Mick Dempsey continues in goal.

Harps may be without player/manager Gavin Dykes and winger Johnny Kenny, who have the flu.

The wage bill at Finn Park has been eased further with Mark Hutchison signing for Shelbourne and Eamonn Doherty on loan to Omagh Town, while Kenny and James Mulligan have altered their contracts and, along with assistant manager, Jonathan Speak, come off the transfer list.

Galway United v Sligo Rovers (Terryland Park, 7.45)

It's very much back to the grindstone of battling to stay in the Premier Division after the highs and lows of the FAI Cup for these two.

Galway manager Don O'Riordan has cautioned his players about complacency after their heroics at Richmond Park on Tuesday, while it can surely only get better for Sligo after the humiliation of losing to Bluebell United.

Sligo's woes continue due to a growing injury crisis. Manager Tommy Cassidy says he's going to have to ring round the local schools to get some of the club's youth players off to play.

Striker Sean Flannery is suspended while Matt Boswell should come back into goal in place of Nicky Broujos who's out with the flu.

Ian Lynch (knee) is also out while Padraig Moran (groin), Steve Birks (hamstring) and Ian Rossiter (thigh) are all major doubts.

Some solace is provided by central defender Jim Sheridan's return from suspension.
