St Patrick's v Shelbourne (Richmond Park, 7.35, Network 2)

During their second championship winning season a couple of years ago, tonight's hosts took seven points out of nine from their Dublin rivals but since then they have failed to beat Dermot Keely's side, a run that both they and Bohemians hope will end this evening.

While Pat Dolan's side need a win to maintain their challenge for a UEFA Cup spot and to keep their slim chance of nicking the title, Shelbourne will be anxious to reassert themselves after a tame display in the draw with Finn Harps last Friday night.

Keely's main concern is again in attack with Richie Foran (suspended) and Stephen Geoghegan (knee) both missing. Tony Sheridan got the chance to partner Dessie Baker last week but Stephen Grant may sneak in ahead of him this time. James Keddy, meanwhile, is still doubtful with a groin strain.

The southsiders will be without Colm Foley (hamstring) and will have to wait on Robbie Griffin (chest infection), Trevor Croly (ankle) and Seamus Kelly (shoulder) although they will probably figure.

Bray v Galway Utd (Carlisle Grounds, 7.45)

Eddie Gormley returns from suspension for Bray and should slot back into Pat Devlin's midfield but Wesley Charles has another match to serve while Keith Long (ankle) and Davy Williamson (hamstring) are probably ruled out by injury. Colm Tresson (hamstring) faces a late test.

Galway United, meanwhile, will be without the suspended Eric Lavine and so Don O'Riordan must select from Ollie Keogh, Sean Malee, David Goldbey and Barry Moran for the vacant place in his starting line-up. Having seen his side go four games unbeaten the Riordan is unlikely to meddle with last week's starting eleven beyond that one enforced change.

Last two seasons: 1999/2000: Did not meet; 2000/2001: Bray Wanderers 0 Galway United 1, Galway United 2 Bray Wanderers 2.

Recent league form: Bray Wanderers: W D L W L; Galway United: L W D D W.

Betting: Home: 8/11; Draw: 12/5; Away: 3/1.

Referee: R O'Hanlon (Waterford).
