A towering second-half performance from Nemo Rangers over Clare side Eire Og yesterday ensured a place for the Cork champions in this year's Munster final against Glenflesk.

Displaying the Cork side's rich pedigree, Nemo won in the end at a canter by 11 points at Cusack Park in Ennis. However, the tie was more delicately poised at halftime with Nemo having a four-point lead and playing into a strong wind in the second half.

That lead was due to a somewhat fortuitous goal with the last kick of the first half after Eire Og full back Donie Lyne put the ball into his own net while defending a Niall Corkery sideline kick.

Eire Og dominance in the last 10 minutes of the half when the Ennis side had two successive goal scoring opportunities to give the Ennis side an unlikely lead against the wind.
