Newbridge College will be the Leinster representatives in the All-Ireland Schools' Championship finals at Lahinch on April 30th, 2002.

In the Leinster final at the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links on Saturday they had six shots to spare over Blackrock College with Malahide CS third. Newbridge shot a total of 236 with Ian Hall returning a fine 76, PJ Kavanagh 78 and Martin Maher 82. Niall O'Connor shot 77 for Blackrock with Stuart Crowe on 82 and Niall Murray 83. The best individual score came from Damien Fennelly of St Paul's College with a 75.
