SPORTS DIGEST: Denis Lynch is back on the winning trail, this time at the four-day German fixture in Dortmund, reports Grania Willis.
The 29-year-old Tipperary rider steered So Limit, the seven-year-old that won in Neumunster last month, to victory in Thursday night's one-round speed class for young horses. Lynch won by almost a second over German Heinrich Hermann Engemann and Amos, with Switzerland's Sabrina Rhyner and Robby Lee in third.
Neal Fearon made it two in a row for Ireland when scoring on the Spanish Sunshine tour in Vejer de la Fronterra. Fearon and Orieta stopped the clock on 56.81 seconds for the win ahead of fourth-placed Trevor Coyle with Joys Mouche. Coyle also picked up a fifth with Overtime in the feature jump-off class.

Reports that Sonia O'Sullivan could yet be prevented from competing for Australia in the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne later this month have been played down by her partner Nic Bideau, reports Ian O'Riordan.
Certain members of the organising committee are examining the situation whereby O'Sullivan was recently cleared to represent Australia having gained citizenship, while also remaining free to run for Ireland later in the year.
"We definitely have the rulebook in our favour," said Bideau. "They may be trying to change that for down the road, but I don't see how they can do that now, after she's been picked to run for Australia, with the full backing of Australian athletics."
