Offaly 2-17 London 0-7 In a game in which there was nothing at stake for either side, Offaly easily defeated London by 2-17 to 0-7 in the final series of matches in Division 2A. The game played on Saturday was switched from Tullamore to Gracefield.
Although the exiles opened the scoring the home side were always in control. Despite some poor finishing by their forwards they led by 1-9 to 0-2 at the half time interval, their goal being scored by wing forward Colm Quinn in the 10th minute of the game.
A home win was assured long before Alan McNamee helped himself to Offaly's second goal in the 52nd minute.
The scoring honours were shared by Offaly's Pascal Kellaghan and London's Niall Horgan, both of whom claimed six points.
However the winners had six other players on target while London's only other scorer was midfielder player Kevin Waldron.
