DAVID DUVAL and three-times champion Greg Norman shared the lead when play was suspended late in the second-round of the $1.8 million Doral-Ryder Open early this morning.

Duval, seeking his first career PGA success went round in a bogey-free six-under-par 66 while Norman, who holds the tournament record with a 23-under-par 265 in 1993, had a 68.

The two players finished the day 10-under-par on 134 after the start of play had been delayed by about an hour because of rain.

Nick Price of Zimbabwe came in one shot off the pace after a five-under 67 while 1995 PGA champion Steve Elkington of Australia was two behind on 136 following a 66.

Play was halted due to darkness with 15 players on the final three holes of the course. They will complete their second rounds today.

Phil Mickelson was tied for fifth with Billy Mayfair and Bob Tway on 137 while Scotland's Colin Montgomerie headed eight players on 138 after matching his first round 69. First-round leader Skip Kendall struggled to a four-over 76 and was seven shots off the pace on 141.

Tiger Woods, who returned to the PGA Tour last week for the first time since the beginning of February, is not taking part.
