Glyndebourne, the Irish Derby Derby second and Gallinule Stakes winner, has been sold out of Aidan O'Brien's yard to race in Hong Kong.

The buyer of the son of Sadler's Wells is Thomas Liang. He also acquired Johan Cruyff, a future Hong Kong star, from Ballydoyle in 1997.

Liang said: "We looked at other horses in the yard, but I elected to buy Glyndebourne as he gave me a special feeling. He reminded me 80 per cent of Johan Cruyff.

"In principle, we are hoping to aim the colt at one of the top international races in December. Either the Hong Kong Cup (10f) or the Vase (12f)." A 260,000 purchase as a foal at the Tattersalls December Sales, the late maturing Glyndebourne, raced in Ireland in the colours of Michael Tabor.
