Seventeen horses are set to line up for tomorrow's Sagitta 2,000 Guineas after the final declarations for the classic were made yesterday. Henry Cecil's recent Greenham Stakes winner Enrique disputes favouritism with Orpen, trained by Aidan O'Brien.

Ante-post punters, who were hit earlier in the week by the withdrawal of O'Brien's Stravinsky from the Newmarket showpiece, at least suffered no further woe yesterday, with no surprise absentees.

O'Brien withdrew Lavery and Saffron Waldon from the race yesterday but this had been widely expected. The other three taken out were Al Naba, Anschluss and Rhythm Band.

Frankie Dettori rides Island Sands, with Michael Roberts aboard the other Godolphin runner, Easaar.

Both horses had a mile and a half workout yesterday, with Daragh O'Donohoe on board Worldly Manner and Brian Procter on Aljabr.

O'Donohoe has been listed to ride Aljabr in Saturday's big race, although local jockey Kent Desormeaux is still being linked with the mount.
